On December 3, 1992, the Strickers were indicted by a federal grand jury on thirty counts of mail fraud, wire fraud, interstate transportation of stolen property, false statements to a government agency and obstruction of justice. Both of the accused failed to appear for trial and subsequently fled the U.S.
If convicted on all accounts, Henry Stricker could receive two-hundred fifteen years and a fine of eight and a half million dollars. Karen Stricker could receive one-hundred ninety-five years in prison and a fine of seven and a half million dollars.

According to investigators with the Jacksonville, Florida Sheriff's Office, Kamiyah Mobley was kidnaped from her motherŐs hospital room at University Medical Center around 3 p.m. on July 10, 1998.
Sheriff's deputies say Kamiyah was born just before 7 a.m. Friday, July 10. A woman dressed in hospital garb then spent several hours with the newborn's 16-year-old mother before apparently walking out of the hospital with the little girl. Police are treating the case as a stranger abduction. They say the baby's mother thought the woman was a hospital employee.
The suspect is described as a black female about 30-35 years old. She was wearing a blue floral smock and green scrub pants. She's about 5-foot-5 and weighing 150-160 pounds. She has straight black hair, but investigators believe she may have been wearing a wig. The suspect was also wearing reading glasses.
On September 26, 1998, the FBI released an age-progressed photo of how the baby might look today.
