On Wednesday, August 5, 1998, at 9:00 a.m., 46-year-old Khen So Tran was discovered murdered in her vehicle in Alhambra, California. The victim had been sexually assaulted and bludgeoned to death. The interior of the victim's 1985 gray 2-door, Oldsmobile Cutlass vehicle was doused with gasoline and set on fire.
