A man is being sought in connection with the murders of Thomas Mulcahy and Michael Sakara, and possibly two other murders.
In 1992, the dismembered body of Thomas Mulcahy was found at a rest stop off a New Jersey highway. With the body was found a brown sheet, a shower curtain, latex gloves, and the saw used to dismember the victim. Some of these items were traced back to Staten Island.
In 1993, the body of Michael Sakara was found along a highway in Rockland county. He had been dismembered in the same way as Sakara, and others clues have led investigators to believe the same man killed the two. Sakara was last seen at the 5 Oaks Bar in Manhattan, talking with a man who was introduced as either Mark or John and as a nurse at St. Vincent's hospital.
There were also two other dismemberments around the same time: Peter Anderson in Pennsylvania, and Anthony Morrero in Ocean County, New Jersey
